Dku-5 Data Cable Install The XPI tried to install the XP driver, and it installed well, but the port didnt work. The driver cant load the.sys file.Have someone a solution for this problem Thanks for your help.![]() Is your cable the genuine Nokia cable, or like mine a third party one Nokia claim that only theirs works (naturally). Theres been a post in the newsgroup (General I think) from someone with the same problem who used another cable from a friend and it worked so Im thinking of getting the genuine Nokia cable and going for their replacement for the DKU-5 -- CA-42,,37187,00.html but check here for the compatibility with your phone -- mine is a 3120,,37420,00.html Good luck and do tell me what cable and how you get on. The driver installs well, but Vista has problems because cant open or load the serial port (virtual). Thanks -- I guess Id better get the Nokia cable and Ill get the CA-42 and hope I can get it working under both XP and VISTA. My investigation at Nokia tell me their latest version of PC Suite, the only one that supports Vista, no longer supports the DKU-5 cable. See l Cable Drivers compatible with the latest PC Suite are installed along with PC Suite when you install PC Suite. To see them, install PC Suite and launch it from the Icon on your Desktop. To see which connection types are compatible with your phone, use the URL given above this paragraph. I was using the DKU-5 cable sucessfully on another computer running Win XP and a PC Suite version for Win 2000 and XP only, the PC Suite version one step earlier than the latest 6.83 version. You should still be able to download the earlier version and use the DKU-5 cable for XP and earlier versions of Windows. Dku-5 Data Cable Drivers They IncludedSince no where does Nokia come right out and state they no longer support DKU-5 on the latest version, that I could fine, one cannot be absolutely sure the DKU-5 driver cannot be downloaded and inserted as another compatible connection in the Manage Connections list, but I highly doubt it because 1)they choose not to include it with other drivers they included with the latest Suite, and 2. Hope this helps everyone laboring with their new computer gifts from Microsoft. This site uses cookies to help personalise content, tailor your experience and to keep you logged in if you register.
